Today, I am inviting you to take part in our Â鶹ÊÓƵ Fund Challenge – our annual fundraising appeal – which aims to raise £150,000 in just one week! We’re proud to launch this challenge on #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that encourages people to do good.

All gifts made this week will be matched by a group of extraordinary philanthropists. Our Â鶹ÊÓƵ Fund Leaders have generously pledged to double each and every donation you make, up to £75,000 – with special thanks to TrinityBridge for their lead gift in support of this campaign. This means your generosity will have twice the impact and, together, we can raise vital funds to support areas across the Â鶹ÊÓƵ where it is needed most.

We recently announced plans to create a new world-class campus at Somerset House, London – a major development which will strengthen the Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s position as a leading global centre for the visual arts and radically transform access to its teaching as we look towards celebrating our centenary in 2032.

As we begin this new chapter at the Â鶹ÊÓƵ, I am reminded of the extraordinary role philanthropy plays in helping us shape the future of art and culture. Every day, we care for masterpieces that have inspired generations, nurture brilliant minds through world-class teaching and research, and support talented students who go on to lead in the creative industries, and beyond, worldwide.

Every gift makes a difference

Together, we can ensure the Â鶹ÊÓƵ continues to protect its exceptional collection, advance scholarship, and ensure that every student – regardless of background – has the opportunity to thrive.

Thank you for your support and being part of our vibrant community.

Professor Mark Hallett (PhD 1996)
Märit Rausing Director of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Institute of Art
