HerÌýRoyalÌýHighness, The Princess Royal, visited The Â鶹ÊÓƵ yesterday (12 June) in her role as Chancellor of the University of London to launch the Founders’ Circle, a prestigious new society to recognise benefactors who have made truly outstanding contributions to The Â鶹ÊÓƵ. The Founders’ Circle is named in honour of the institution’s three founders, who established The Â鶹ÊÓƵ in 1932 through their visionary philanthropy.
The Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Märit Rausing Director, Professor Deborah Swallow, led HRH on a tour of The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Institute highlighting the many achievements since her last visit in 2008. The ChancellorÌýmet staff and students from across The Â鶹ÊÓƵ andÌýwas given a presentation on Â鶹ÊÓƵ Connects, a transformational projectÌýthat will significantly redevelop The Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s historic home at Somerset House.ÌýThe Princess Royal also recognised the contribution of several major patrons of The Â鶹ÊÓƵ who were honoured as inaugural members of the Founders’ Circle.
