We are delighted to announce that Professor Katie Scott has been elected aÌý.
Katie is an internationally recognised scholar of early modern France, and has taught at The Â鶹ÊÓƵ since 1988. Of her many, her most recent isÌýÌý(Yale University Press, 2018), which examines the emergence the intellectual property rights in art in FranceÌýfrom the early 16th century and the French Revolution.
Thanks to a Leverhulme Trust Major Research Fellowship, Katie is about to begin a three-year period of focused research for a book-length study provisionally titledÌýOpen City: Paris and the arts in the eighteenth century.ÌýÌýItÌýwill address questions of space, architecture and ³Ù³ó±ðÌýdepiction of eighteenth-century Paris.
