Painting Pairs: Art History and Technical Study

This is the firstÌýof two presentations by this year’s ‘Painting Pairs’. Five pairs of Research Associates, each composed of a graduate student from the department of Conservation and Technology and one studying art history, or curating, are beginning their investigations into five paintings drawn from the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Gallery, regional and private collections. They will each report on the initial stages of their technical and art historical examination in a 15-20 minute presentation, plus time for questions.
